On Sunday I purchased an HP Mini 1035. I have to say, I am quite impressed with this little thing. It’s so cute because of its small size.
If you notice in the pictures below, I still haven’t even taken the sticker off the top because I don’t want it to get scratched. (I’m waiting for the case to come in the mail soon)
Here’s a quick breakdown to give you an idea:
Pros
- 92% size of a normal keyboard
- Very lightweight (2.25 lbs)
- Built in SD card reader
- Extremely stylish
Cons
- Only a 60 GB harddrive
- No VGA out
- Battery life is limited to about 1.5-2 hours
- Because of its small sized screen (10.2 inches) there is a lot of scrolling within webpages
Other Notes
It has a really glossy screen, which some don’t like, but I don’t mind it and actually think that it gives it a nice appeal.
It also plays videos pretty well and it runs Microsoft Office 2007 quite well (which is a necessity for me). Be careful! I had to install this through a network through my other computer because netbooks do not come with optical drives.
Some might argue that a downside is that it only has 2 USB ports but I rarely use both of them at the same time anyways.
And that’s the HP Mini 1035 in a nutshell. Below are some photos I took.

Hm, I’ve had my eye on this for quite sometime. Nice review!
